Hi,

I'm having issues starting the maiad service upon reloading my FreeBSD
server.

Trying manually starting the service I get the following message;
"Couldn't find pid in existing pid_file at
/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/Net/Server/Daemonize.pm line 48."

I'm running Perl version 5.20.2 and Maia Mailguard version 1.0.4 on
FreeBSD 10.2-RELEASE #0 r286666.

Any clues to how I can resolve this?

Regards,
Johnny Karms Pedersen

I managed to find the root cause myself. The .pid and .lock file were
still present in /var/maiad, although empty. Once removed the service
started without any problems.
